WHY have I just gained 1lb when I've been sticking to 400-500 calories/day and have been doing at least 40min of exercise every day? HELP.

    Maybe you gained because your body is hanging on to every calorie instead of letting you burn it off. Maybe if you tried fooling it, by eating 400-500 calories one day then 700-800 the next it might help.

    If you keep changing your intake about, it will confuse your metabolism and it will stop holding on to the calories and hopefully you'll start losing again.

  2. have you been drinking a lot of water? it could just be water weight. it's best to weigh yourself in the morning when you're at your emptiest. or maybe it's muscle gain from all the exercise?
    don't worry about it too much, remember this is a marathon not a sprint :) xxx

  3. Thanks for the comments :) I'll try alternating my intake of calories..although 800 seems like a lot :-s

    Hmm, I actually look fatter (and I've been doing toning exercises), so probably not muscle gain. I don't know - hopefully it's a temporary thing and I start losing again!
